Best friends, Alex and Bryan, have a bitter fight entirely via text message when one of them sleeps with the other’s crush. But, just as things seem to settle, an unexpected development may lead to yet another rift.

A witty play on hook-up apps, this short comedy-drama is largely dialog-free, as characters speak to each other via text messaging. It centres on Alex (Kendall), who is trying to ignore a barrage of pings from his best friend Bryan (Booth), with whom he has had a falling out. Bryan wants to make things better, but Alex wants to be left alone to get on with his work, even as he keeps an eye on a hook-up app. It eventually emerges that Alex is annoyed that Brian slept with a guy he had a crush on. Their argument is honest and painful, leavened by their friendship. Meanwhile, Alex is also continually fending off interested guys who message him on the app. Then things take an unexpected turn.
Jay Russell is a professional Actor who has appeared on & off Broadway, in National Tours, Regional & International theatre. His film & television work includes Gotham, Boardwalk Empire, Sopranos, Louie, Law & Order, Ugly Betty, Morning Glory & more. He also teaches acting at AMDA (American Musical & Dramatic Academy).Jay first came to Easton Mountain in 2016 & has returned numerous times as a participant and facilitator. In 2018 Jay wrote, directed & produced his first short film, ‘ruok’. The film has played in 40 film festivals around the world, winning numerous awards.
