Sophie Rebecca and spoken word artist, Ash Palmisciano have collaborated on an illustrative piece that explores the theme of transition. Sophie Rebecca is the first openly transgender ballet dancer to pass a Royal Academy of Dance Examination, she was assigned male at birth and took her RAD exam as a woman. Ash Palmisciano is an actor and writer who also happens to be a transman. Ash transitioned to male in 2012 to become his authentic self and then went on to pursue his real passion of acting and performing. After attending a course at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, he has taken on roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company and Boy Meets Girl for BBC Two.
