In I Don’t Know Whether to Slit My Wrists or Leave Them Long (2013), two couples, a Spanish neighbor and a wounded ex-footballer share the same Mexico City building and slowly fall apart. What starts as loud comedy turns into a very human dramedy about depression, fake marriages, sexuality and the tiny lies that keep us “functional”.
