In a whodonit concerning the murder o a gay professor, Lyons police detective, married father, unexpectedly falls in love with the medical examiner in the case, bringing havoc all around him and ultimately himself.

Something like that has never happened to him before. During an autopsy the hardened cop Rico faints. This is not only about his current case, a gay professor of medicine who has become the victim of a brutal violent crime. Here “autopsy” (which is the real French name of the movie) doesn’t really refer to the post mortem examination (it does since the Dr. Riviere is a coroner) but can be divided in two : “auto” and “psy” which translated in English would mean “self psychology”.
