Over the internet Todd arranges to meet a blind date named Kelly at a locale coffee house. When Kelly turns out to be another guy things do not turn out as either expected.

As the film unfolds, Todd, played by Thomas Saunders, ventures into uncharted territory, attempting to navigate a gay bar and connect with strangers. Despite lacking romantic interest in Kelly, Todd discovers a treasure trove of shared interests and common ground. Liberated from preconceived notions, Todd proposes a surprising adventure to Kelly: join him in surprising his brother, who believes Todd is on a blind date with a girl.

The film is part of the collection ‘Straight Men & the Men Who Love Them’ published in 2005, which explores the relationship between gay and straight people and consists of seven short films that we will try to find and present.

The collection includes Espacio Dos (Spain) In the Name of the Father (Brazil), My Straight Boyfriend (US), Truth or Consequences (Brazil), Coffee Date (US), Popcorn & Coke (UK), and Uninhibited.
