Family is important and we should not let our differences or judgments keep us apart. We should be open to forgiveness and understanding, especially when we face loss and grief. We should cherish the memories we have with our loved ones and not let them fade away.

An estranged son, Vijay, must return to his small hometown in New Mexico after ten years to confront his family after his father’s sudden passing.

Rejection. Isolation. When we choose paths that separate us from those who love us the most, the resulting consequences can be lasting, even to the point of destroying the bonds that we have. Yet, if we try hard enough, can we still find hope among the ruins of a family torn by grief and broken dreams? Vijay (Shawn Parikh) is a young man facing such a challenge when it comes to his conservative Indian family and how they responded to his coming out. Having left for ten years to avoid the hurt and bitter feelings of being shunned for his preference, Vijay has still achieved his own sense of harmony with it even as he fully embraces life.

However, when an unexpected event happens that compels him to go back to the small town he used to call home, it becomes a trial of immense magnitude on various levels. On one hand he meets his sister Vidya (Sarayu Blue), who genuinely seems to have welcomed his lifestyle and even more so likes to tease him about the clichรฉd aspects related to it. On the other side of the spectrum, there is his mother Ranjan (Anna Khaja), whose obvious uneasy attitude around Vijay becomes a source of conflict even as they all attempt to cope with a devastating loss. However, when it would appear all will crumble further, thereโ€™s a surprising hint of possible healing in the middle of nostalgic childhood memories.
