Short Film about a religious mother finding out about her son’s sexuality

Gay Gay Short Film about a religious mother finding out about her son’s sexuality

β€œThe Mother’s Gospel” is an emotionally-charged short film about Marjorie, a Christian mother who suspects that her seventeen year old son Luke may be gay after finding a magazine under his bed. Determined to keep up appearances in her community and, ultimately, save her son from eternal damnation, Marjorie tries a number of tactics to get Luke to deny the claims. But when Marjorie learns that Luke also has a secret boyfriend, her world is rocked to the core: not only is he *being* gay, he’s also *doing* gay. While Luke finds a surprising ally in his father – a typical ‘man’s man’, impossible to read – Marjorie is forced to consider evolving her beliefs and accepting her son or living a life without him, and potentially her husband too.
