Daniel (Anthony Rapp) and Christopher (Jonathan Bennett) have to rely on their close friends and families to help them through drama on the eve of their wedding.
Daniel and Christopher are about to get married and invited their closest family and friends to dinner the night before. The 40-year-old and the early 30-year-old are very different people in their interests, their choice of friends and the way they deal with the stresses of life. Daniel is a perfectionist and wants to conjure up an unforgettable meal in the kitchen, and he doesn’t want anyone to help him. So it’s fitting that Christopher is taken to brunch by his friends Summer and Bradley, who to his surprise invited his childhood friend Emma, ??whom he hadn’t seen since puberty, as a sort of wedding present.

Daniel, who knew nothing about her, is excited when Emma appears as another guest at the dinner party and through her learns some of Christopher’s past life. Christopher should also learn a lot of new things about his future husband that evening. So while Daniel has always admitted he’s had a few dates with Jacob in the past, it now turns out there were a few more as claimed. The crisis deepens after the arrival of Daniel’s loving but sometimes rather intrusive parents and sister, and things only get worse when the woman who was supposed to be performing their wedding ceremony needs to leave town urgently.
