Born in Toronto, Canada, Mark Pariselli graduated magna cum laude from York University with a BFA in Film Production. His debut short film After (2009) screened at over 40 international film festivals including Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival where Pariselli received an Honourable Mention for the “Best Up-and-Coming Toronto Film or Video Maker” (2009). After was shortlisted for the Iris Prize (2009) and won the “Best Short Film” award at the 2011 Sicilia Queer Film Festival. Pariselli’s other titles with the CFMDC include Frozen Roads, Kiss, Severed and Pigeon Hole. Retrospective programs of his short films have been presented in Toronto, Sicily, New York City and Montreal. He has served on the juries of the Sicilia Queer Film Festival, ImageOut: The Rochester LGBT Film & Video Festival and Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival. Pariselli is currently developing his first feature.
