The short film takes place in a small room belonging to a character living presumably in a small town. This person, with no obvious name, dresses up as an alternate in the privacy of their own home. They spend their free-time writing personal letters to an array or recipients. Whether or not the details of the letters or even the recipients are real or imagined is left unclear. Through this act of writing and inventive performance, the young persona practices longing for something that never was – HIRAETH – and in turn exercises the power of reinvention.
