SKIN DEEP The Series
A one hour drama pilot for television
Director: DAVID SUMMERS
Writer: DAVID SUMMERS
Genre: TV Series
Country: USA
Year: 2011
SKIN DEEP is a new scripted TV pilot that addresses racial and cultural differences within the gay community specifically in Atlanta. In short, it can best be described as “Queer as Folk”, meets “Noah’s Arc”, meets “Crash”, (2006 Oscar winner/Best Picture) taken to a new and vibrant level.
The completed and work-shopped script infused with drama and comedy was generated from over 120 interviews and breaks new ground in gay media while raising consciousness. Funds are needed to produce a 15 min. “teaser”video for distribution to cable networks, directors and producers.
Exciting stuff, and a project that deserves all our support.
