Joe embarks on a sadomasochistic adventure with a stranger. For him it’s all about the sexual thrill, but Tim is more interested in the psychological aspects of their coupling. An encounter between two people with very different desires, after which, nothing is the same as before.
Hong Khaou is a filmmaker who is slowly emerging as a very exciting voice in the British filmmaking scene.
His film ‘Spring’ is the second part of a quadrilogy, followed by ‘Monsoon’ and ‘Winter’. ‘Spring’ had its world premier in Sundance and was at Berlinale 2011 for the European premier. His previous short, ‘Summer’ also premiered in Berlin, and has gone on to win various festival awards around the world.
Mračna strana ljudskih želja je kod većine ljudi nešto što podliježe autocenzuri, koja nam omogućava da se ponašamo tako da ne ugrožavamo ni sebe ni druge.
U ovom kratkom filmu Joe bez sumnje ima želju da se podredi željama dominantnog Tima, i time iskusi mazohističku stranu svoje ličnosti.
Granice koje se ne smiju preći u tom sado-mazohističkom odnosu je nešto o čemu Joe nije dovoljno razmišljao prije nego se podvrgnuo ispunjavanju želja novog gospodara Tima.
