The film features no spoken dialogue, to formally echo the experience of being “ghosted” and explores feelings of anxiety, dread, and isolation. We caught up with M.H Murray to discuss the film, his career, and future projects.

GHOST, has been in the works for more than a year. Making a film about isolation in the queer community has been a goal of mine for a while. i can’t wait for everyone to see it. ~ M.H. Murray

In 2020, Murray’s short film, Ghost, premiered at the 30th annual Inside Out Film and Video Festival, Canada’s largest film festival dedicated to LGBTQ+ cinema. The film features Mark Clennon as Benjamin, a gay man who is “ghosted” by his lover. Ghost subsequently screened at the 2020 Paris Independent Film Festival, before making its U.S. premiere at the 47th annual Seattle International Film Festival in 2021.
